Double your impact and help connect young people with culturally relevant science learning, mentoring, and real-world experiences.
“You can’t be what you can’t see.”
Rilee grew up in Mt Isa and never imagined she could study science at university.
Like many young people in regional and remote communities, STEM careers felt distant – she believed you can’t be what you can’t see.
Then, in Year 11, she was given the opportunity to attend a STEM camp through Deadly Science. That experience changed everything.
For the first time, Rilee could see what was possible for her future.
“Deadly Science just opened up my eyes to a lot of amazing role models. It was a life-changing experience.” – Rilee
Her curiosity grew into confidence.
And that confidence became a pathway.
Today, Rilee is studying science at university and working towards a career in pharmacy – with a dream of giving back to her community.
But there are thousands of students like Rilee right across Australia still waiting for that same opportunity.
“Funding a program like this can be life-changing for someone, especially in rural communities.” – Rilee
Spark the moment that changes a young person’s future.
Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn’t.
Across Australia, there are thousands of First Nations learners with the curiosity, creativity, and potential to thrive in STEM.
But many schools still lack access to:
- STEM books and educational resources
- Hands-on science learning experiences
- Role models working in STEM
- Culturally connected programs that make learning feel relevant and empowering
Without these opportunities, too many young people are left feeling like STEM isn’t for them.
That’s why we exist. And why we need your support before 30 June.
Creating pathways through culture, science, and connection
Deadly Science works alongside communities across Australia to help First Nations learners explore their potential in STEM.
With your support, we can provide:
- STEM books and learning resources for schools and communities
- Hands-on workshops and interactive learning experiences
- Mentoring and connection with First Nations STEM professionals
- Programs that bring together culture and science in meaningful ways
Because when learners can see themselves reflected in science, everything changes.
“Programs such as Deadly Science spark curiosity in students, and say this isn't just science and technology, it's math and engineering. It's a whole other world.” – Rilee
Your support helps spark moments that change futures
$52 could give a learner in regional Australia a face-to-face, hands-on STEM lesson with a First Nations STEM professional
$300 can teach a classroom about traditional bush soap
$900 could buy a fish trap engineering simulator for a school
$1,000 could bring a STEM expert into a remote classroom
Donate now and help change a future.
There’s still time to help create more opportunities for First Nations learners across Australia.
Your donation today will help Deadly Science continue delivering culturally connected STEM learning experiences that inspire confidence, curiosity, and future pathways.
All gifts are not only tax-deductible but will also be matched dollar for dollar. Meaning your gift can make double the difference before the end of the financial year.
